Applying for Registration - Application At A Glance

There are several application categories:
Regular, Reciprocal, Mobility and Temporary.

Which one best fits you?

Review the Registration Requirements document,
or the Summary of Information for all Applicants for a quick overview

How do I obtain the application package materials?

Applicants may download an application package (Download Form: Application Form - Regular; Download Form: Application Form - Mobility; Download Form: Application Form - Reciprocal) or request an application package for a fee via Application Package Request Form.

I’ve prepared my materials, read relevant materials available on the College’s website, and am now ready to send my information.
Can I send my application electronically?

The College does not accept any electronic communications from applicants. Please review the Registration Requirements for further clarification on communications.

Can I submit fees online?

Appropriate fees must be provided with completed applications.
What are the fees required for your specific application type? Find out at Fee Schedule.

Now that I’ve forwarded my materials, how long does the process take and when can I begin scheduling my exams?

The time from the point of submission to file review for Regular applicants is approximately 5 to 7 months. File reviews for Reciprocal and Mobility applicants generally take place approximately 3 to 6 months after submission. Once your file has been reviewed and deemed acceptable by the Registration Committee, you will be given permission to proceed to the examination phase.
See the Registration Requirements document for more information on this process

Why do I have to wait that long before my file is reviewed?

As you will see, in order to make an application, there are many pieces of documentation that you are required to submit. Some of these documents must be requested from 3rd parties (e.g., police checks, transcripts, references, verification of licensure, etc). These items are placed in your file, as they arrive, but your file will not be fully reviewed until all items are received.

Additionally, we may require more information from you in order to adequately review your file. For example, we will likely have more questions for those individuals who did not complete an APA or CPA accredited graduate program and internship. This process can extend the length of time between submission and the examination phase. Applicants who completed an APA or CPA accredited graduate program and internship can expect a shorter wait time.
